Steel Bending Technology in Construction: Cold Bending or Hot Bending

Steel Bending Technology in Construction

The passage of time seems to change human behavior in every activity they do. In the Digital Age, humans are forced to be able to adjust to the times. Technological advances that are now increasingly sophisticated have conquered various aspects of human life, including in the world of construction work, which is increasingly modern.

Why is that? To carry out efficient project work, the construction world always relies on changes in technological advancements. This is what we call Industrial Revolution. It is an industrial transformation with various signs of automation, data and cyberphysical technology integration. Such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud computing, in production and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and flexibility.
With the modernization of various construction works, it has become easier for humans to shape materials, especially steel, which is the backbone of many building structures and infrastructures.

In the project work step, of course, it starts from the materials and materials that have been prepared to be used as a building foundation. Starting from steel bending techniques, both through Cold Bending and Hot Bending. Both are very crucial steps in determining the quality and strength of the final structure.
Hot Bending is more often applied to large projects, such as the construction of bridges, power towers, or industrial structures that require steel bending large size.
Cold Bending is a technique in which steel bars are bent at room temperature without prior heating.
